Quick Question

I'm in a bit of a bind in the house I moved into recently our stove is propane and the oven flat out doesn't work, but even if we got it fixed we still couldn't use it since the deposit to turn on the propane is the same as our rent ($700) and we just can't afford it. So right now we have one electric burner and a microwave, oh and I rice pot, to work with and it's just not working out for me. Does anyone have any good recipes that doesn't require much in the way of cooking. I'm just tired of the canned foods and microwave meals. I have a few things I can do but it's so frustrating. I'm looking into getting an electric range but until then it's been very difficult. Thank you for any help.

The asian market nearby where I live has these chinese noodles that cook in boiling water much faster than normal spaghetti, if you can boil water. Hell, if you have a big enough microwave proof container, you could boil water in the microwave. Chinese noodles are awesome. They cook so fast because though they're dry, they're thicker and not as hard and water-resistent as spaghetti. Hard to explain, but trust me, they cook fast. Like, I'll put spaghetti in and it'll sit there for several minutes before it really gets going on cooking. Chinese noodles start sinking into the pot from cooking as soon as I plop them in, and go down fast. They're done in less than half the time of spaghetti.
I'll have to see if I can find any anywhere. I live in a really small town and the Asian food selection is tiny... which sucks I'm missing a lot of my favorite dishes. Thank you for the suggestion though, I'll see if they have anything when I go out tomorrow.
I believe rice noodles also cook very fast, too. Don't know for sure, though, because I personally don't like rice noodles. But my GF swears by them.
